Our Mission

We desire to provide the children of our community with a Christ-centered pre-Kindergarten education using a unique approach that views children as collaborators in their educational journey. It is our goal to incorporate gospel-focused Biblical education with solid academic foundations in a way that is meaningful and relevant to our students. Children will learn fine and large motor skills, social, inellectual, emotional, and life skills, as well as character development and kindergarten readiness in an environment that nurtures and celebrates the child as special and created by God. We endeavor to minister to families and the community of Tunkhannock by connecting in a way that demonstrates the holy and loving nature of God and the saving power of His son, Jesus Christ.

Our Philosophy

At Seeds of Grace Preschool, children are viewed as key players in their educational journey. They are not simply empty vessels to be filled with informational facts and figures, but rather are communicators, collaborators, and creators, able to construct their own learning through discovery, exploration, and play. One of our primary goals is to develop in children a lifelong passion for learning by choosing topics that are relevant and important to them, encouraging them to take ownership of their knowledge. By including both the family and the community in their education, children will create connections between ideas they form and the environments to which they belong, extending learning beyond the classroom setting. Concepts are presented in multiple forms (print, art, music, construction, drama, movement, etc.) allowing children with various learning styles to experience the objectives in ways that are meaningful to them. Since we view children as inquisitive learners, experiences are designed to spark creativity, critical thinking, planning, problem solving, cooperation, and reflection.

Our inspiration comes from the Reggio Emilia approach to learning. For more information, please visit this site.
